Broadview Rd., Cleveland, Ohio Post Industrial Era 1939-1958
Becker's Bake Shop in Cleveland, Ohio was built on three generations of family baking and cooking dating back to 1800's Europe. With parent's who were accomplished cooks, bakers and butchers, it wasn't much of a surprise when their son's teamed up in 1946 to put their own touch on the food business. After returning from war, son Joe F. approached his three older brothers about opening a restaurant. In a diner style setting it soon developed its roots in breakfast fair serving up some of the finest handmade donuts and fresh coffee ever tasted in the Old Brooklyn Neighborhood of Cleveland, Ohio.
